How long do MySweetStitch sensor patches last?
Our sensor patches are developed for extra-strong hold and can – depending on skin type, application, body area, and strain – hold reliably for up to 12–15+ days. For the best adhesion, the patch should be applied to clean, dry, and grease-free skin. Creams, oils, body lotion, sweat, or moisture can significantly reduce adhesion.
Are the sensor patches waterproof?
Yes. MySweetStitch sensor patches are waterproof, breathable, and quick-drying. They are suitable for showering, sweating, swimming, and an active everyday life. After contact with water, we recommend patting the patch dry carefully and not rubbing it vigorously. This way, the edges remain stuck to the skin as cleanly as possible for as long as possible.
Can I play sports with MySweetStitch patches?
Yes. Our CGM patches were developed for movement, training, and active days. The flexible patch material adapts to your skin and supports the secure hold of your sensor even during sports, sweating, and movement. For optimal hold, we recommend applying the patch as long as possible before sports, showering, or swimming so that the adhesive can bond well with the skin.
Are MySweetStitch patches skin-friendly?
Yes. Our patches are made of high-quality medical patch material and are skin-friendly, breathable, and comfortable to wear. They are hypoallergenic, latex-free, as well as free from IBOA and MBPA, and are therefore also suitable for sensitive skin.
Does the sensor patch affect the measurement of my sensor?
When applied correctly, the patch is designed to provide additional fixation for the sensor without interfering with its functionality. Additionally, the application instructions provided by the respective sensor manufacturer should always be followed.
How do I apply a sensor patch correctly?
The skin should be clean, dry, and free of oils. Then, carefully remove the backing paper and place the patch accurately over or around the sensor. Afterwards, the patch should be gently pressed down for a few seconds – especially along the edges.
Why does my sensor patch sometimes peel off early?
Durability can vary depending on skin type, body location, and daily activities. Common reasons for premature peeling include residue from creams or oils, damp skin, heavy sweating, friction from clothing, or putting stress on the patch too soon after application. For optimal hold, the patch should be applied to dry, clean skin and pressed down firmly after application.
How do I remove the sensor patch gently?
The patch should be pulled off slowly and flat against the skin in the direction of hair growth. It is best to do this bit by bit rather than in one sudden motion. For sensitive skin, it can help to loosen the patch beforehand with warm water, a little oil, or a suitable adhesive remover.
